House prices: ‘Garden villages’ get green light to ease housing shortage

Well there is no dispute being a landlord and building a portfolio of properties continues to make more and more sense

A wave of “garden villages” are to be built in England under new government plans to tackle the chronic housing shortage.

Proposals for 14 new villages and three garden towns creating 48,000 homes, which will be built alongside existing settlements, were released yesterday. Housing minister Gavin Barwell said they would take the total number of new homes to 200,000.
